Who /ElliottSmith/ here?
Fantastic robot musician who unfortunately took his own life in 2003 at 34 years old after a lifetime struggle with depression, drug addiction, and childhood trauma from getting molested as a kid. Such a fucking waste. He was brilliant.
One of his most popular songs:

someone introduced me to him last night with that very song
Hits the feels man hard anymore to recommend of his stuff? His lyrics fit with the robot vibe so heavily definatley ahead of his time if you'll excuse me for the meme statement

That was surprisingly enjoyable and unique. I've listened to a few of your other songs you've posted here, so its nice to put a face to them. Otherwise keep up the good work man

Honestly, the man never wrote a bad song IMO. I've gotten into every single one of his records at one point or another. I started with Either/Or and then went forwards to his more poppy stuff and then when I got through that, I went back to revisit his self-titled, his debut, and the 3 records he put out with his old band Heatmiser. He could have done whatever he wanted musically but I guess when you're so far gone into drug addiction and depressive alienation, music won't make you happy anymore. Nothing will.
anyone wanna listen to my shitty indie rock that i made about my ex gf?
>>39410429
he was a genius. I just hate that rick and morty got to him and not some other show. Their fanbase is insufferable.

What do you think of this senpai?

watching his interviews now he seems so withdrawn from the artists lifestyle, he states he hates that being a singer song writer makes people think you want them to be like you and you have some message and the next interview the lady asks so what were you trying to get across with this album? Just proves his point that people assume he has some message

A bunch of shows have been using his music recently, which makes me pretty happy. Yeah, R&M has an insufferable fan base but if it keeps Elliott's memory alive and helps plebs discover fantastic music, I'm willing to deal with all the autistic "TINY RIIIIIIIICK" comments on YouTube.

I make music with my friend sometimes. Usually pretty weird stuff. I wish i made more time to produce music but i'm focusing on spending more time learning about it and practicing.

Thanks. I wish somebody would hire me. Here's one last piece for tonight
https://vocaroo.com/i/s0m86z6W0vmU
It's a seven minute long vibraphone improvisation. It's the most robot-tier thing I've posted tonight I think. I was feeling pretty down when I recorded this and I think it shows. Sorry if it makes you feel depressed.
>>39412795
I liked this man the video was relaxing as hell
