I do the same squat while shitting, but for safety reasons, I shit into a bowl in the shower, not balancing on the toilet. Then I dump the shit in the toilet and put the bowl in a sealed plastic bag in the trash to minimise smell.

squatting is actually really comfortable once you do this a lot and develop strong leg muscles. I often prefer this to sitting because sitting fucks up my blood flow so i cant feel my legs or they just start getting stiff and painful. I can easily squat for an hour.
I am not a slav, but it is acceptable to squat in public since the ruski culture is wide spread here.
