Retail is the worst thing you can if you're a robot. If that's your only option I recommend going for logistics, the part of the job that receives the truck, unloads it, and stocks it. The hours are early depending on where you work, and you also get out early too so you won't have to deal with customers long, if at all. My job I'm at has me 4am-9am, so I'm only there an hour after customers show up. It's also at a time where everyone is tired so no one bugs you and you get to work alone. Just be careful anon, the job is going to be soul crushing no matter what.

I started driving more and long distances, got better, and now I love driving. Just throw on a podcast and enjoy the open road.

Just stay aware of your surroundings and don't get a cheap piece of shit. And an ideal public transport system is near impossible for the US, I don't know if you've taken a look at a map recently but the US is big as fuck and makes most countries look like shrimp. Maybe if you're in Rhode Island or Vermont or something, but for most states you can forget it.
