The most depressed I ever was in my life was when I had my shit the most together. Had a job, a regular schedule, wasn't drinking, went outside and talked to people, etc. I hated every minute of it and it felt like there was no reason to bother with life if that's all it was going to be.

Doesn't it occur to them that people might start doing these things because they're depressed in the first place? Social interaction isn't a choice for everyone.

It's literally society's fault though. I'm a perfectly functional human bean, but because I'm an introvert in an extroverted world I'm condemned to a life of torturous solitude.

I've done all those things and I've also quit all those things, doesn't make much of a difference. Depression stays the same, but with drugs its more tolerable. Living a sober life that you hate is pretty much hell on earth. I get up to go to work to a job I hate with nothing to look forward to all week, nothing to come home to, no release.
