I have C-PTSD from a traumatic childhood upbringing in which I was exposed to alcholism, mental illness, regular domestic abuse, women's refuges, hostels, sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, and never staying in one place for longer than 2 years. In my 26 years of life I have moved/lived in 18 different houses and attended 12 different schools.

Because we had to move around so often I had to get used to get used to abandoning all my toys and possessions, result being I now have issues where I distance myself from people and objects and deliberately avoid attachment. My apartment has barely anything in it because when I eventually lose it all again, which I will because that's what always happens, I won't get hurt.

I'm sexually repressed from my sexual abuse. I can't even envision myself as a sexual being. I developed anorexia as a result of a lifetime of being out of control and having no stability or security. Now I can only gain relief from controlling my body and exactly what goes into it. I guess it's technically a form of self harm, only the scars cover my organs and not my skin.

I've dropped out of university twice, but everybody around me thinks I've graduated and have my degree. Funny thing is I'm definitely on the intellectual side of the stratum and am fully capable of graduating with honours, but my depression and C-PTSD consume my life in entirety, and nothing ever seems to last too long before that blanket begans enveloping it again.

I have chronic derealisation/depersonalisation and am partially-convinced that either I don't exist at all and am just a shade floating through the world, or that the only way for me to wake up is to go to sleep forever.
