I had this same problem when I was a freshman. The freshman dining hall was hell for me. My school allowed carry out so I would always take food out and then sit under a tree and eat it. I found out later that my school has another dining hall where more upperclassmen eat. There are more people eating alone there so I am more comfortable.

how viable is it to just go to class and then dorm and class and dorm and so on? like to never do anything else. I don't think it's possible for me to make a friend or be social.
