>>

I bet /r9k/ will try too hard to find something wrong here.
>>
>>39305245
nothing because I don't think about homeless people
>>
a good but stupid thing to do.
>>
>>39305245
im sure he totally ended up with a job
>>
I once stole $5,000 for someone at work.
>>
>>39305245
Don't we all want a job?
I've been looking for ages and still cannot find one.
>>
>>39305245
He's a better person than me, I'd have kept the money. If I were to throw shit at someone, it'd probably be the people making the feelgood fundraiser. Wonder if someone actually hired him.

Look in a wider area, Lower your standards, Send your resume out to more places
jobs are inevitable if you put effort in
>>
>>39305245

Well, 5000 dollars is nice but a job is better for the long term.

Still, 5000 dollars is a great way to get started though. He can rent an appartment, buy a second hand car and some decent clothes. Then if he finds a job his life will be back on track.
>>
A noble man and an example to look up to.
>>
>>39305245
i'm shocked by how many people are saying this is a "good man". what fucking idiot wouldn't take the money, that doesn't make you a bad person
>>
>>39305403
Taking it doesn't make you a bad person, but not taking it makes you a good person
>>
>>39305245
Hobo is a cool dude however most of the people who donated the $5000 only did it because he was a big thing on twitter or faceboom.
I can bet my life that at least 90% of the donators never gave any money to hobos before and after doing this donation.
Hobo is alright but he should have accepted at least some of the money to help him buy clothes or something to help him find a job.
>>
>>39305403
It's not your money Jamal

>not taking he money and getting a job using the fame he received for his honesty
it's impressive that he didn't just use all the money he found, but he could have had both a very basic job and even more money after that fundraiser.

I was out with my dad once and we found a purse on the ground.
We found a thousand dollars inside too.
I was thinking already what i would buy with my share but he simply took a receipt out of the purse, looked at the phone number on the bottom and called the number.

Apperently the lady was still in the area and she came back after he called.
I was really confused, since we are basically homeless i thought for sure we could spend this money to benefit our living situation and make us more comfortable (we live at an airport)

She gave my dad a hug and she left in her shiny BMW while we went back to our slightly shitter car we got from a court settlement when my dad broke his leg while working.

I dont fully understand morals, i especially believe they should be thrown out the window when in a perilous situation like for example being homeless and living on very little money i.e minimum wage.
The world isnt fair so why should i be courteous?

My father simply said
>what comes around go's around anon...
what a load of horseshit, ill always put myself first, i deserve thar much since no one else ever will

I think he's a fucking idiot and based on his actions can clearly see WHY he is homeless in the first place.
>>
>>39305420
That's a really good way to put it. Thanks, anon. But the fundraiser money he should have taken. Could have used the money to fix up and find a job.

its more like a personal philosophy for a person rather than it being practical, its foolish in hindsight but maybe they know that already
>>
>>39305493
if you leave 2400 dollar out in public on the street, neither is it yours for long. rules of the jungle apply.
>>
>>39306247
Definitely drug money. Think about it. Why else would $2,400 be lying around?
>>
>less than $500 in cash
your dumb luck das mane now
>any cash in a wallet with an ID
I'd return it intact
>more than $500
definitely suspicious I'd call the cops or just leave it be
>>
>>39305245

If the idea was to use the publicity to get employers interested i dunno maybe this was a smart decision. I need to know how it turned out to judge. $2400/$5000 is not a great deal of money in comparison to securing stable employment.
>>
>Refuses a huge sum of cash twice
There's the reason he is homeless.

im eating cereal have this instead moar?
>>
>>39305245
No wonder this faggot is poor
>>
>>39305493
Im white faggot. Still shoulda took the money and got himself a job. 5 grand us a lot.

Shit 2400 wouldve easily gotten him a cheap studio apartment, cheap clean clothes, and start pumping out applications.
Good people aren't always smart.
>>
>>39305245
this is the true definition of a chad
that man right there is what we all should strive to be, minus the beard and the edgy metal band t-shirt
>>
If he made good decisions he wouldn't be homeless.
>>
>>39306900
Honest, poor and stupid? No thanks.
>>
>>39306762

You're fucking dumb, no apartment place would sign him over when his bank account balance was only $5,000 and he had no current employment. You fucking children have zero life experience and just say stupid shit. Smack yourself.
>>
>>39306951
Except mine did faggot, had 0$ in my bank account, no job (at the time) and nowhere to go. Rented a studio downtown and paid a month in advance.

Only person here who doesnt know what the fuck hes talking about is your stupid ass.

Seriously stop posting you stupid fuck.
>>
>>39305245
I hope he got a good job, people like that are awesome.
>>
>>39306922
But all he wanted was a job, which is what he would've needed to not be homeless.
>>
>>39307195
He couldve used that fund raiser money to do just that. Appearance means a lot during interviews and itd have definitely benefitted him.
>>
>>39306951
Depends on the apartment complex, its not a vacuum, worst time in my life i was mostly broke, slept in my car, donated plasma for money, got food from the free stores, had around 3k to myself and needed an address to apply for jobs. I was never homeless so i didnt have much knowledge for outlets.

Applied for a studio that was super cheap about 5 years ago and ive been golden ever since because every complex wont turn you down anon.
>>
>>39305245

Not a good idea. Provided he's not insane, use it to get goods like shaving razors, socks and food. Just don't flash it in front of violent bums.
>>
>>39305245
I feel like a man is trying to atone for something. If this image bears truth, maybe he's done so.
>>
>>39307239
I guess, but you've got to respect his principles of never accepting money just handed to you. He's the kind of guy who will only accept money if he earns it. Things would be better if we had more people with those kinds of morals.
>>
>>39307479
Theres that and then theres taking the money, bettering his horrible situation, thanking everyone and donating to charity after he gets employed.

Theres more than 1 way to have strong morals, ill respect his morals but that doesnt ill ever agree with that.
>>
>>39305245
That guy must have like schizophrenia, but instead of the voices telling him to stab people with a dirty needle, they tell him to be a good person
>>
>>39305346
actively removing kebabs
>>
>>39305986
At least your father can stand to look himself in the mirror every morning; can you say the same?
>>
>>39307539
It's true his morals aren't very practical in his situation, but in a better society where jobs are plentiful, it wouldn't have been an issue in the first place.
It's quite sad how things have become.
