Stayed at a job that was making me so miserable I couldn't function anymore for 6 months, maybe even a year longer than I should have. I'll never be afraid to lose or quit a job again, though.

By the end of my time there, I was so high strung I couldnt browse chans, couldn't play video games. Kid you not, all I would do when I got home from work was put garbage on netflix and work on intricate scratch off mandalas until I couldnt keep my eyes open anymore and went to sleep for work again. The web of my hand was just one giant blister, and then eventually, one giant callus, from how much time I spent doing this.

I did it because it was the only activity that really required enough focus to keep me from making myself ill stressing about work.

Another really dumb thing I did, while at that same job, I plotted to get a coworker fired with another coworker who expressed sympathies toward this end, who then betrayed me to the bosses. That guy was a fucking psycho and couldn't be trusted to work there. I could have gotten rid of him, but I should never ever have spoken to anyone else about my plotting or even expressed any opinion of him one way or the other. At the next job I took, some chick got busted for the same thing - told someone she was actively plotting to get someone fired and got busted. I sympathized with her because I had done the same thing, and I get it, but man does that ever make you look like the biggest piece of shit on the planet, no matter what your reasons are.

In my case that was one of many nails in the coffin that cemented my determination to leave that fuckin awful job - I mean, how could anyone with any sense of shame continue to work at a place where you were outed as a malicious manipulator? Again, no matter how pure the intentions where. Incidentally, the chick who did the same thing at my new job had no sense of shame and stuck around like it never happened. Fuckin normans.

Accepting a job I hate for below the minimum wage when I had the perfect opportunity to accept one that easily could have given me double the money just because I didnt feel like going to the second job interview(I could have taken the first one anytime since that company was one of my fathers clients), I have long wasted my college savings and forgot everything I learned at my last job because I hated it.
