go back and learn to hide your brushstrokes, but good subject material, I like caricatures but you want to diverge from photorealism i recommend changing medium

i love the lower half but the upper half looks sloppy and dull

Those little white dots are only there because of the lighting in which I took the photograph of the painting. You don't see them when you look at the painting in person

I don't know looking at it I think it's a bit simple for my taste as a huge fan of the Surrealist movement. And a part of me just misses the black and white simplicity from your previous works but there is something but this painting that just works really well but I think there is a lot more you can do then just portraits.

I don't want a postcard painting. Make some bigger shit and I'd buy it.

Pretty decent painting. How long have you painted? Did you paint this from imagination, or from life?
I like your stroked background, and the girl looks good, though her hat looks like outer space, not that it's bad though, and her other eye looks like a void.
The ear looks proportionally and perspective wise but perspective is hard, and most people wouldn't notice it anyway.
