Women were previously locked into a prison of femininity that would ensure they would have no sexual partners if they stepped anywhere outside of the mold.

Feminism, the women's movement, has allowed women to express themselves more freely in how they present themselves (gender, personality) and how society should view sex (sexual revolution, elimination of virginity as a construct, anti-slutshaming, lesbianism).
With the rise in feminism, the opposite has become true for men. Men have become increasingly boxed in by a hypergamous female society to act and look a certain way, eschewing choices of expression, in order to fit a mold and attract a potential partner.

Men need to form a movement of equal merit to feminism in order to secure a broader definition of masculinity that includes more free expression.

Men need to promote more types of masculinity as sexually appealing, creating a sexual market for these types and allowing men to act freely. We need to reject the mold of hyper masculinity and stop promoting it as sexually desirable.
