Honestly don't know. I spent a bunch of time on message boards (everything from HL-mods to guns/history). Keep hearing about SA and 4chan. Saw SA required a registration fee, said fuck that and started lurking on 4chan, namely /k/, /o/ and /b/.

I honestly don't remember how I stumbled in here around 2010. I think I heard about it somewhere and decided to check it out, although it could've easily just come up in a search result while I was looking for porn.

It just sort of happened.

I've been here since day 1 in february of 2008. Originally this board felt like /b/ did in 2005-06. Conversations were well versed and popular threads would be up for days, or even weeks at a time. It stopped being good in 2010 and turned into /soc/ before /soc/ was a thing. It was killed and /soc/ was created in its place in 2011 but it was resurected later that same year. It had a brief flash of brilliance in 2013-15 with the tendies/GBP/peepeepoopoo era, but lately it has become too forgiving towards the ever increasing presence of females and normies. It's pretty much a shell of it former self at this point.

I discovered 4chan from people outing it on gamefaqs around 2008. Started at 16-17.

Found /r9k/ by just browsing the boards many years ago and was lured in with greentext stories. Now I'm lurking with other robots and failed normies and feel good there are others who share my life.

I discovered it really late, maybe in 2012 or something. I had been browsing 4chan for a really long time before that but never this board. I just always assumed it was about robots and never clicked on it, until I did, probably just out of boredom. I don't know why I stayed but I never left.

About 4 years ago I was searching for something RPG-related and stumbled upon /tg/, and I browse it from time to time when I'm bored but don't have time to dive into anything substantial.

I never browsed other boards and wouldn't have even known that /r9k/ existed were it not for all the butthurt permavirgins constantly making their "hurr durr -4STR female warriors get raped" threads. Everyone kept telling them to 'go back to /r9k/', and I eventually got curious.

The lesson to be learned here is that if you could just keep your loser butt-tears confined to this board, you wouldn't draw so many normal people here.

In my early teens I was looking up a guide to make a potato launcher, which led me to TOTSE. After joining the forums, 4chan was eventually brought up, which led me here. Left 4chan to join reddit, but lately I have begun lurking r9k.

I was a NEET around two years ago, i was watching a normie stream on Twitch for the game SMITE.
Someone in the chat mentioned 4chan and the streamer said "stay away from 4chan, for your own good".
Then last year i was looking for incest porn on Google and somehow ended up on /b/. The thread was being heavily spammed with spiderman memes.
I forgot about the porn and started saving spiderman.
/b/ was interesting, but the porn was gay and overall just low quality. Eventually got into those rekt threads. Got into ylyl as well, but it kept getting worse with each thread.
Eventually learned about raids, digits and moot. Got sad by the suicide stream of a 12 yo girl, got pissed off at ISIS gore videos. Made get threads and got the highlight on a screencap, even though OP was a faggot and didn't deliver.
Nearly a year later, i realized that even though /b/ might have had social outcasts like me, i did not fit there.
I asked for a redpill about the jews, since i was completely oblivious of why 4chan hated them. Needless to say, they've sent me to /pol/.
There i've felt less uncomfortable. I've learned about the shit that's going on and how powerful memes can be. Still didn't feel at home. I needed to find a board that BREATHES autism.
Tried to go on /x/ to see if something interesting was going on. It was interesting, but still not my place.
After some browsing i found /r9k/. That happened two months ago. Everyone is an autistic fuck, a weeaboo or/and virgins. I finally feel at home.
Worst part is, after the one year and one month of my stay, no one has ever called me a newfag. I don't know if i should be proud or depressed. Either way, i'm sure of you fucks are gonna call me a newfag anyway, so i'm at peace.
