Your entire life and personality were decided for you before you turned five years old. No matter what strides you take to overcome your past, if you were damaged during your formative years in any way, the scars will stay with you for the rest of your life, and there's nothing you can do about it.
You are not a person who was abused as a child, you are (and will forever be) a child of abuse.
Anybody over the age of 6 who verifiably exhibits disrupted neurodevelopment as a result of being a child of abuse should be euthanized on the spot then and there. To force people like this to live their lives to completion is an act of unbelievable cruelty.

I'm in my late 20s and this is true. I'm a complete fuck up. I can try to change little things here and there, but I'm just moving the dial around on a scale of fuck up. More fuck up less fuck up.
