I work for a college marketing department. Over the past few weeks or so, I've been in charge of compiling data on nearby institutions.
The trend that I see is this: less and less men are going to college each year. So far the average percentage is somewhere around 40/60 men to women.
I've read countless stories online about "the disappearing college male," and my own research confirms it. Hell, my own school is like 37/63 male to female.
Why is this, robots?
College is a meme unless you want to be a doctor/lawyer/engineer, or get a phd which most people can't afford.

I'm inclined to agree. Unfortunately, I'm not cut out for trades, so I really had no other options than to go to college.
