I agree with you that all good things in life are to keep us numb to our lack of freedom, but I don't think it's a class thing. Rich people love getting fucked up and stuff. They are slaves too. The problem is that we've been overindulging. We have unlimited access to delicious food, drugs that get you FUCKED UP, gyms that provide tools to strengthen each and every muscle, tons of TV channels, the list goes on.

Back in the 1700s people didn't have luxuries like us. We're abusing our vices, and not only is it harmful to us, but it's extremely harmful to our environment.
That's why I've never thought humans were superior to animals. Because we aren't all that fucking smart, if we WERE, we would have more balance, the way mother nature intended every organism to live.

Humans fucked it all up. We're just like animals, when plentifulness is laid out in front of us, we PIG OUT. And there's so many of us now, pigging out, that natural ecosystems need to be dismantled so we can have more resources and room for our BULLSHIT.

Humans were a mistake of evolution.
