Laziness, and you never have to do stuff that irritates you. Clipping your nails hurt, don't do it. Just ate but you don't have time to brush, don't brush. Hair feeling like shit and sticking together, don't touch it. Lifting heavy shit hurts, don't do it. Legs can't walk because you got too fat, get a goddamn wheelchair.

Put those together... And you got a self-destructive organism that would rather die then do work.
