Summer has always been the most lonely time for me. Does anyone else know this feel?
When I was in school I had some friends, but they forgot about me every summer. So every summer (after I became too old for camp) was spent alone in my house playing video games. Thinking back to that time makes me remember the orange glow of evening sunlight peering in through a crack in the blinds, causing it to reflect off my CRT television, making Sand Andreas difficult to see. That dusk sunlight signaled another wasted day coming to a close.
Summers were still lonely after high school. I didn't go to university, instead I worked on and off. I never made any friends at work, so I still had those lonely summers. Now I'm 24 and quit work two years ago. Now another painfully long, lonesome summer is coming to an end. Now I'm in the same place as I was in 2007. A decade of these long, lonely summers... and they seem to get lonelier every year...
