Best advice I can give: try other drugs first so you know what it's like to get weird before you take the leap into mushrooms or LSD. Marijuana is a good kiddie pool type drug for this. Also, if you're not sure, try doing a small dose first, and waiting a week or two to do the real thing so your tolerance goes away.
If you have the option of getting your paws on some xanax, seroquel, or valium, do it, because you can use these as "trip aborters" that will calm you down / make you go to sleep / stop the mindfuck.
And absolutely do not be in your parent's house trying to "stealth trip" or something stupid like that. GOOD SET AND SETTING or don't even bother tripping at all, serious.

My advice is to not try it for the first time on LSD, get a feel for it first. Especially in order to figure out how to smoke it. If you're using a dab rig or e-cig, it's easy, but smoking it from a meth pipe demands some skill and technique or you'll burn it all and not trip. Although that's just being extra careful, you'll probably be fine even if you trip balls.
My tip is to perhaps look into syrian rue tea, it is a MAOI which can multiply the potency of tryptamines (it interacts badly with SSRIs and lots of drugs though so do your research) and makes the DMT last longer too. Although if you try to figure out how to get this right. while on LSD and your first time doing DMT, you might get lost in space forever lol

I usually trip alone. For your first time on acid I would recommend 100 mcg. Make a playlist with your favourite/trippy music. You won't really feel like eating or drinking but fruit based products are nice. If you think the trip is underwhelming just smoke some weed (after the peak so +6-7 hours). This could induce anxiety but all you have to do is let go and let it all happen.

Alcohol. I quit every other drug, ever cigarettes, but still drink every day. Nothing beats being drunk.

Fine, in my case, I always go to a walgreens, CVS, or rite aid. They sell the exact same bottle with the same dosages etc., it's a generic, but they rebrand it for each store, for example in walgreen's it's Wal-tussin. It's funny, I only recently gave up weed. It's depersonalizing me. It was great when I couldn't figure out myself and therefore how to live my life properly, but experiences with MDMA and especially LSD did.

I had some bad trips or rough experiences but also had help integrating them through a close friend and a multi marathon of reading about the drug and its research. Eventually came to the conclusion that the way LSD affected my thoughts and emotions is predictable and maybe even controllable to some extent. So my bad feelings under LSD, I either confronted them or realized they were rooted in irrational ideas and distanced myself from them by thinking about other stuff. I typically treated my LSD experiences like you would treat a dream so very few things about the experiences I took seriously in my real life. IMO its true potential is terribly misunderstood by even experienced trippers.
