I got yelled at I'm nursery (kindergarten) because we were playing hide and seek and I told a girl to "shut your eyes". She thought I told her to shut up so ran to the female teacher who told me off and made me stand in the corridor and called me a baby. I was too young and nervous to stand up to an adult so all I could do was stutter and try to explain that's not what happened. I must've been about 3 years old.

I'm 30 now and have a son and i still think about it and the injustice I felt at the time at a young age. It made me realise how events can shape a person dramatically. A simple "telling off" has me pondering 27 years later. I imagine having shitty parents who beat you or that divorce or if you are a victim of assault or rape or some other thing that lots of robots have had happen in their lives really does become an insurmountable emotional roadblock that stunts or even reverts your development as a 'normal' human being. I have a lot of empathy for robots.
