/disabled/ general

Amputees, deaf, mute, mentally and physically handicapped, etc are all welcome.
Come on in and have a chat, share some feels, we're all friends here.

>tfw prosthetic leg

>always slip
>>

>tfw severely deaf in both ears
>Crippled social skills leave me unable to handle any interaction with people
NEETbux are all that stand in the way of me and the noose
>>
>>39139946
Do you mainly use sign language or have you learned to read lips? Or do you have powerful hearing aids?

Ever have any embarassing/funny moments not being able to hear something, like when old people fart but dont notice?
>>
>>39139900
I do not know.if I am accepted here but I am permanently blind on my left side from smoke. I suppose I am lucky compare to any of you here.
>>
>>39139985
Lip reading and British NHS have decent hearing aids which help.
Most of my conversations are defined by me missing/mishearing half of everything people say, which can be funny at times but it's pretty annoying in general for most parties involved.
>>
>>39140059
Do you ever pull ya penis out and shake it at them?
>>
>>39139900
How did ya get shit leg man? Don't get fat too
>>
>>39139900
One anon on here has a penis that can never get hard not sure what's worse, take my leg not cock both legs vs 1 arm
>>
>tfw no blind gf that wont mind my scary face
;_;
>>
>>39140057
Of course youre welcome here. I just didnt explicitly list blindness because its a text-based site. I neglected partial blindness

Have you adjusted, or do you still have trouble?
>>
>>39140172
Oh that is nice.
Yes, it was a long time ago when it happened. I still, remember waking up though being like this. I am,just very happy to not be entirely blind because the hospital had told, me I easily could have been.
It is funny though when,I am somewhere I am not very familiar with, I,find myself walking to my left side and sometimes bumping in the walls or whatever

Had a senile grandma when I was 8. I was playing in the yard while she was mowing the lawn. I ran up to her to tell her something but just then she put it in reverse and backed over me, taking my left leg and mangling my right one.

I grew up in a small town so I was made fun of all my life for it. They called me Stump. I have been depressed most of my life, which led to carelessness. Since I am accident-prone because of my disability, I got into further accidents, including falling asleep at the wheel once. All in all, Im missing the left leg below the knee, the right calf is half missing and my left arm and shoulder is covered in long, thick scars from the accident.

Pic actually related. MGSV is really important to me. Never in my life did I have a figure I could relate to and look up to. Kaz and Snake's tough attitude and determination despite being amputees is really cool to me.
Never going to lose control, Im quite fit. Just no friends and totally alone, like everyone else.
>>
>>39140309
That must have been a real shock. Im happy to here you haven't taken it too hard. Its easy to let these things get us down. It takes real strength to stay upbeat. Good for you.
>>
>>39139900
D-does it coubt that I was born with 6 toes on my feet and they chopped the two extra off? I-I'm technically an amputee
>>
>>39140681
The et cetera implies everyone without a "normal" body or mind is welcome. You are too, friend. Which toe are you missing? Has it effected your life in any way? Does it at least make for entertaining dinner concersation?
>>
TFW not seen as proper disabled cuz can slightly hear and see and on a lesser note, move limbs, but seen as a freak to able bodied people ....MFW the handicap keyboard I use to take notes is really loud and embarassing
>>
I am brown and short, even worse than being deaf/blind.
>>
when I say on a lesser note, I mean it doesn't affect my every day life as badly as the other stuff
>>
This thread makes me realize how lucky I am.

I'm sorry, anons.
>>
>>39139946
I feel you bro, being deaf...or close to it in my case really sucks, especially when primary teachers either didn't know you couldn't hear them, or didn't care
>>
when I was a kid I used to dream about having my leg amputated and then overcoming it and skiing just regular everyday shit, but because I had an amputated leg everyone would think I'm a hero and that I was so brave.
>>
>>39140172
fully blind people can use computers pretty well with screen reading software
this must be the greatest time in history to be blind now that the entire collective communications and knowledge of humanity exists in text-based speakable form
>be blind in 1900
>sit around and listen to wind for recreation
>be blind today
>do anything a normal person does that doesn't involve pictures
>>
/mutefag/ here,
best disability ever
i dont have to talk to people i just have to make a hand motion and they fuck off.
>>
>>39140951
If you grow up with it, you won't feel its impact on your life as you have never known any better

Lol

I love it!!...

the image of you slipping like that is hilarious

you should've kept your leg

why would you want to lose your leg?

see what happens when you want to lose your leg ?

next time, you'll think twice, huh ?
>>
Worst part of being half deaf is missing out on what someone says and when u finally get the courage to ask what they said, they reply with "nvm anon" ...even worse when they bully you in your face but you can't hear them
>>
>>39141052
STFU we all know about what the REAL 'hand motion' is that you do all night
>>
>>39140859

Brown and short ?

do you make a splashing noise when you fall into a toilet ?
>>

It is pretty funny looking, even if it hurts. One time it fell off and I had to chase after it as it slide down the sidewalk on the ice

When I was 5, I was a professional football league oatmeal creme pie triathlon whizbang master.

My grandmother intentionally backed over me with the family mechanized metallic blade leg shortening tractormobile.

It made my nipples begin to emit a really, really weird high pitched screaming sound. As I put my hands over my ears, all ten of my fingers switched places :

My left thumb is now my right pinky finger. My right ring finger is now my right index finger. My left middle finger became my left thumb. And so on and so on..

Being deformed is cool
>>
>>39140747
>Which toe are you missing?
none, technically. My pinky toes had another pinky toe coming out from them and they chopped those off.
>Has it effected your life in any way?
Um not really except for my family bullying from time to time ;-;
>Does it at least make for entertaining dinner concersation
My mom always tells that story on my birthday ;;
>>

Ha ha, you dumb loud faggot! But srsly have you turned off keyboard sounds? In windows you hold the right shift key 8 secs, go to filter keys, turn off Beeps. If you have tried this already and are a poor faggot who can't afford decent kb, respond and perhaps I can fix you up with a better kb.

Clinical depression is neat I guess. I also have tinnitus and visual snow.
I lost part of my hearing because I was a stupid kid but it's not medically diagnosed.

>tfw type-1 diabetes
I can't do anything I've ever wanted too. I have to be extremely gentle with my feet, can't go do anything outdoorsy like camping for more than 3 days, and am basically forced to live in places that have pharmacies that provide the type of insulin I need.
When I was a kid, my favorite book was My Side of the Mountain. I always wanted to go camping for an extended period of time, and realizing I could never do that without dying hurt.
fuck

Your just being a pussy. Ive got type one and I do fucking mountaineering. Man up and start pushing boundaries or roll over and die. Self pity is worse than diabetes.
>>
Was born with a genetic disease that's called holt-oram syndrome, which basically fucks up your arms and hands.
Despite that, I was always a pretty optimisimtic person.
Had a to get a ton of surgeries done as a kid (about two per year) which can of course be pretty frightening for a child

I was never treated like some kind of freak though, and I always insisted on doing things the 'normal' way. Even got my driver's license in a standard car instead of a custom car for disabled people, even though everyone told me not to do it
>>
>>39145851
Yes, Ive said it already but my left leg is prosthetic (fake).
>>
>>39148565
Get a cybernetic leg when they are available and then you will truly be a metal gear character.
>>
>>39148888
At that point people will purposely sever limbs to turn themselves into weapons. Killing is going to become too fun in the future and we are fucked.
>>
>>39148960
Brainless hedonists like you describe will simply use virtual reality 24/7 or abuse some sort of cranial implant which stimulates pleasure centres when turned on. I don't really see why cyber limbs would make killing more fun anyway. Its not like its particularly difficult to make some pretty powerful bombs in the modern world anyway, certainly easier then getting a criminal doctor to give you bootleg military prosthesis or whatever.
>>
>>39139900
Isn't it nicer to get to wear pants all the time so people don't notice?
>>
>>39148888
Fuck I wish. If we had the tech I would lose my right leg below the knee since half missing anyway, and maybe my left arm too. The heavy scarification has left it virtually numb. That being said, I am still very thankful I have an arm at all. I cant imagine only have one. One leg is bad enough.
>>39149179
Yes, but unless you wear loose or baggy pants people notice the size/shape differences.

Does a stutter count? It's honestly a pain in the ass, and is the main reason for why I'm a robot. I just wish I could talk normally.
