I've read a very brief description of the phone call and I didn't think much of it, it was basically saying that he called the show and talked about the chimp. Hearing the full thing, however, is very interesting and I'm glad the hosts let him say almost all he had to say. You can definitely see parallels between Travis's life and how Adam's own life and the lives of similar people were described.
