I am not that Anon you replied to but I went to UNCG for a semester.

I stayes in Guilford which is right across from Mary Faust and across the street from Cone hall. UNCG is filled with three kinds of people.

>The "College experience" kids. Simply the normals - or as normal as they get at UNCG. Run of the mi basically.

Academics are mediocre. The black population has sky rocketed among other things. Not much greek life or interesting clubs. You share Gboro with Bennett and A&T so the town is predominately black and subsequently crime ridden.

The campus is nice though, so is the cafeteria.

It's alot better academically, and as far as clubs / events go there is more variety.

On campus housing is rough and so is the weather. App is practically in the mountains so when in snows commuting is a bitch.

Ofcourse though this school is about 90% white, and there isn't much diversity. Pretty limited in activities too unless you love the outdoors.

There's alot of drug dealers, but that isn't always bad.

I think UNCG is a great school if you're into the whole Arts / Liberal studies thing. I can't say enough good about the campus.

One thing I didn't mention about UNCG is that it's pretty accepting. There are few super Chad and Stacy types. Alot of eccentric people. Makes it easy to slip in and seem like the average student. Good robot school if it fits your studies. My roommate was a shut-in like me and we both spent atleast 4 hours a day playing vidya. That's the one thing apart from the campus that I really miss.
