You're probably eligible for a good financial aid award. Assuming your tuition is 10k/year and you don't live on campus, you might get 55% of your tuition covered by the Pell Grant. Then there are federal student loans, which really aren't that bad as they're income based and can be forgiven. These together might cover your entire tuition, and that's not including scholarships.

I live in the UK so I earn 34k bongpounds which is ok for being 1 year into a career with no degree in the north of England, I started at 29k.

After a few years I'll have enough experience to move and earn more if I want, plus there's freelance stuff I could be doing on the side. A job in London would probably pay more, but living costs are high and I don't speak Arabic or Farsi, there's also contracting opportunities going for crazy money.

There's a ton of resources for teaching yourself, go on Youtube and search "web developer 2017" to get an idea of what you should be learning. I'd say its the ideal hobby/job for a robot.

The only downside is that I have coworkers who are pretty far left in terms of their politics. I have to keep my power level hidden if they start talking about social issues. I don't think they've seen me rolling my eyes when they talk.

I'm a university student but work as a freelance writer, which has enabled me to travel to a lot of developing countries. Posting from a village in rural Zanzibar right now and will be in India in less than two weeks. Doing Egypt in November and then going back to Mexico for December.

Been to 35 countries since I was 19. Good feel, I guess.

Resuming university Stateside shortly after 2018 comes around.

I'm hoping I can pick a few more contracts and reliably earn between $2,000 and $3,000 by the time I graduate. If I can do that, I'll probably move to Mexico or Colombia and do a Master's program online from UMich Dearborn/Flint or some shit.
