I don't know how you guys can drink alone. I feel like if I drink alone I have to drink way more than if I'm with friends to even feel slightly buzzed. I don't even have a high alcohol tolerance either, I get drunk maybe 10 times a year if that, since I don't get invited to parties very often. I fucking hate alcohol too so i feel like it's not even worth it

I drink Jim beam exclusively. The best bottom shelf liquor you can find and I love how easy it is to drink. And pbr, because for the price it's pretty good.
>>
>>39012572
I'm 6'0 165 pounds so I'm pretty lanky. It doesn't take very much to get me drunk but drinking solo I just don't really feel it. Maybe because I'm not having as much fun? I'm not sure.
>>
>>39012743
I usually go for Jim Beam when I have the money, but since I live in Canadia, canadian whiskey is cheaper. Even PBR is more expensive than local beer. 5.5% Cariboo lager is cheaper

No I mean actual vintage records that I got when my grandfather passed away, some stuff he made himself and others he got over the years. Granted I do appreciate them making a comeback but I much prefer older records than newer ones. Some Sleeman, some Guiness. It's my last weekend in my current apartment. It's been comfy living alone for the last 2 years and 7 months. But i have to start my new job and live with my Dad for a couple of months while i save up money for a new place and car.

No, i live in norway. it's light here in the nights until fall, so it's all good. most things purdy (pretty) are a pain in the ass. I only have to deal with it for a few months.... not as long as I imagine you do.

it does especially cigars. one of the first time I got really drunk when I was like 17 I smoked two cigars. Cheap ones probably games. Still was fun
>>
>>39013551
I disagree with the pretty things i find them pleasing most of the time, except snow which looks nice but i have to mow the fucking lawn (of snow) every day from november to april and while it makes me strong ish it is a pain in the ass. I sleep with contacts in but only one night and then i take them out so it's like one night in, one night out etc. I live in a very rural area. There is a big woods outside of my house and i can smell the cow dung from the farms above us. It's great, no noise, no cars driving by. I enjoy the silence as long as im not sober. When i'm drunk i like to draw, listen to music and drive my boat around (when i am at my cabin). What about you?
>>
>>39013424
He pretty much made stuff with harmonicas. He was really into them and even worked on them until he couldn't even get out of his chair. Judging by the guitars I found in his basement I guess he was also a guitarist. Also played the drums but supposedly that's what led to his hearing problems. Anyway considering I was pretty close to him I got some of his stuff, I guess everyone knew I'd take good care of if, which I damn well do. As for music I know he liked big band and jazz, and I'd imagine blues as well.

Moving from Guelph to Cambridge. Tbh I didn't like Guelph that much for the 2 and half years here. The rent is too high, and the jobs don't pay great. I worked at Linamar and Polycon, it was enough to pay the bills, but just that. Cambridge has cheaper rent and better paying jobs, even though there is nothing to do there. It's my hometown though, so that's kind of nice I guess.

I'm an observer at heart, love to watch things, anything. When drunk I like listening to music loudly, cleaning, talking to anons, and walking around (ofc). When it's still bright out, I go to the local parks and drink there, and sometimes strangers are friendly enough to drink with.
Have you always lived in a rural setting?
Big woods means giant douglas firs and cedar trees and the sort. The type of tree thats been around for hundreds of years and will be there after you die.
I wouldnty mind farming if it wasn't for the shit smell. what sort a boat.... I'm imagining a small motorboat one would go fishing in (do you fish... that would be fine if you did?)

I remember playing drums as early as 3 years old. That went on to almost all percussion instruments since I got into concert band in school (I only know how to tune timpanis), wanted to get into jazz but they were filled up and not to shit on the other guys but I was one of two or three others who were actually decent lol. Now I'm practicing bass and acoustic and I'd like to learn some more. And as for family ties, I did cut with a majority of them, didn't exactly leave on the best of terms with everyone and some were just flat out jackasses, others I just drifted away from overtime since I seem to not be interested in contacting them. But it is what it is, just have to keep moving.

family is hard anon, I feel like I owe them something, most of them are good, I'm not in touch with any extended family. I suppose it helps they live on the other side of the country.
Is Jazz the genre you want to get into. I've talked to a few musician friends (by few I mean two) and they say a band always needs a bass, so thats good.
I went into drama instead of music -- biggest regret in my life. All I learned was how to appear confident and how to lie --- lie really well.
I'm suppose to see my family next month, not looking forward to it, the best part is seeing my lil bro and sis. My god wasn't I the practice kid and they really did a good job the next few kids..... nvm.... just have to keep moving.

I've always used Righty. It used to be just how it went, even before internet porn.

Now with cell phones, I generally use my Galaxy with my right hand one-handed when I'm not jerkin' it. So to stroke, I have to use it with my left hand, which funny enough is way more difficult than my right even though I'm lefthanded.

I don't even have the muscle memory in Lefty, it's physically difficult and I have to sit there and manually think about it, instead of just doing it naturally like with my right-hand man.
>>
>>39013930
The thought of getting into music crossed me a few times, and for all I know I might make something and post it somewhere on soundcloud or whatever but I don't think I'd do well in a band full time. And I know about the whole family thing, when I got the news that granddad was admitted into the hospital for his esophageal cancer that ruined my day, and I still remember seeing him before he died. Looked like nothing at all fazed him, just a little tired. Next thing I know I'm asleep at home and get the news how he died overnight, felt like I somehow missed something huge not being there and that legitimately hurt. I may be a stoic person but that shattered a little at his funeral, thankfully I was listed as a pallbearer so I saw him get sent off one last time. Regardless, I have a good thing going on now, and if you ask me better than a lot of people my age, so I'm thankful for that and thankful for what time I had with him. Were you planning to be an actor or something?
>>39013959
The C's always screwed me up too. My advice, as terrible as it may sound to some, is to keep at it. Look up some videos and guides if you have to. And maybe try different harmonicas.

I relate to the observer thing. Never the participant, always the observer. I've always lived rurally yeah. Parents come from farming background. There are giant pine trees and birch in the forest here.
I have a buster xs aluminum boat with a yamaha motor of 25 horsepowers, just fast enough for what i use it for which is fishing, transportation and just cruising around. i don't fish with regular fishing rods i use nets mostly and a homemade fishing thing made from a tin can. Pic related shows what it's like. Catches a lot of fish.

are you close to anyone else in your family and thanks for sharing, thankfully I've never lost anyone close to me, so death is still a very abstract thing to me? and don't you think stoicism is overrated?
I wasn't planning on acting or anything (not goodlooking enough) I just liked the idea of being someone different for a chance. It imporved my empathy for people, made it easier to put myself in others shoes. I would like to get into "story-telling" whatever that entails. Be it acting, directing, writing, spoken word, jornalism etc. I was also the anon trying to learn harmonica, but damn I got no rhythm... what do anon? I get off time all the time...

Birch trees have that white bark that peels right? I remember my grand aunt doing arts and crafts with that
I'm native american so I'm pretty jelly of you being able to live off the land. I'm some urbanite indian who would die three days into the wooods. what sort of fish do you catch? is it from a river or lake? I imagine trout. Would you go into farming yourself, or bigger aspirations?
>>
>>39014494
A few people, mainly my younger brother who I occasionally talk to and I'll sometimes talk to my dad and aunt but that's been happening less and less lately. As for being stoic, that's just how I am, and there are very few things in life that can crack it. I'm just a "shut up and get it done" person, though I do have some anger problems but I've been controlling that for awhile. As for rhythm, that unfortunately is a tough one. What of it do you have issues with? Time signatures, hitting the notes, etc.
>>

Yeah a lot of trout and char and some salmon. It's a lake (not salt water). I might decide to take over my mom's cousins cow farm when he dies but currently i'm studying biotech.

I'll just open the picture on my Galaxy and take a screenshot, then upload the screenshot. That usually works.

I have a pack of Voodoo Ranger with a couple Old Rasputins and a bottle of Sailor Jerry's I'd love to be tearing into though, but in the meanwhile I'm just lifting because the heaviest weights we carry are our feels

I'm actually not that out of shape, it's just been several weeks since I did much of anything physical outside a few heavy workouts on the ol' one-armed rowing machine.

I just have a terrible sense of time. I will naturally go off beat. I get ahead or behind the music and I feel like I have to catch up I forget just to let the notes I missed go.... yuh know? don't even get me started on time signature changes. might invest in a metronome... I'm not musically inclined -- which explains my high regard for musicians. Suprisingly I'm a good dancer.
How much younger is bro? Is your dad your dad? Everyone I know has a stepdad so having an actual dad is still a novel idea.

this desu, i'm on my 2nd bottle. i always sleep on my side or my face is planted slightly askew with the pillow. i can't fall asleep on my back without the feeling of holding onto something like i can on my side, feels uncomfortable as all fuck. maybe it has to do with when i had a gf in hs and i would hold her by my side.i wanna die
>>
>>39015446
you mean like where it's useful? medicine and agriculture/food processing mostly
>>
>>39015493
The reason i can't sleep on my back or tummy is that i will get sleep paralysis in 90% of the time. It's fucking terrible wanting to scream and move but nothing is happening just getting devoured by the demons. Never get it sleeping on my side though.
