You HAVE to apply cream or else you spend all day and night itching your skin until you tear it off. And even with the cream it only helps SLIGHTLY. But you still have to apply it or else it WONT GO AWAY.
And once it finally does? Oh it just comes back in a few months in another random location. last time it was on your arm? Now it's on your thigh, your foot, your neck, your fucking crotch (this is the most common one for me)

People have no fucking clue what suffering is until they have eczema.

In my case my anxiety is focused on death and my health. Like if I feel a pain in my head I start thinking about aneurysms and tumors, or an ache somewhere and I start thinking about cancers. If you don't get it in check or distract yourself then you can eventually spiral into a panic attack, where your fight or flight response is triggered and you start feeling like you are dying, total dread, fast heart rate, you can't catch your breath and feel like you are choking. Before I had a panic attack I used to almost laugh it off when I heard people talk about them. After having one I would much rather have my depression back than the panic attacks.

The thing about anxiety that is almost sadistic is that it can fake real symptoms in your body. It's not just "what if I have a brain tumor??" but more like "that pain in my head is weird. why is it getting worse?? Now I'm dizzy and light headed, this isn't normal" etc etc. Currently I'm dealing with air hunger which fucking sucks ass, feels like I'm permachoking unless I distract myself.

It's fucking evil man, you start worrying about something and instead of your body going "nothing's wrong you idiot, chill out" it decides to start simulating the thing you were worrying about. Then you have to decide whether to take the chance that it's anxiety again or that the thing you were worrying about is actually happening for real and go to the ER.

Though in some ways anxiety is almost a blessing in disguise. I'm pretty sure mine is triggered by unhealthy habits, NEETdom and the thought of wasting my life. In order to avoid it I'm forced to exercise, be productive and to take steps in order to move forward in life. I don't think it's worth the abject terror that comes with it though.
