Anybody else just wanna escape into a World where you can live and create things by your own will?
>>38962239
they would just copy your mind and upload it,you would still be here
>>38962521
But there would me 2 mes. So 50% of me would be happy at least.
>>38962521
Its indeed not a permanent solution but just to escape from reality for a few hours would be great.
>>38962521
but what would ctrl + x do?
God damn, I hate this wojak so much. I collect wojaks and I have a foIder of over 200 wojaks already, but this one I refuse to save. I just hate it so much. It's so off-putting. The stupid expression he makes. The blood running from his eyes. The veins. The pink skin. The red eyes. Urgh, I hate it aIl so much. Every time I see this wojak, I get physically upset. I want to take this wojak and brutally murder him. I want to stomp his skull until those veins pop out of his head. I want to squeeze those eyes until there's even more blood escaping them. I want to take this wojak and I want to break every bone in his body. I want to chain him up and laugh as he pleas for freedom. I want to burn his skin and listen to his squeals of agony. I want to take this wojak and tie him limb by limb to different moving objects, then watch as his limps are pulled apart from his body. Then I will take them and freeze them in my fridge. I will wait a few days then take them out. Then I will cook them alongside some soup. As I eat the soup, I wilI laugh. Ha ha. Ha ha. That is how much I hate this wojak

instead of uploading our consciousness, we preserve our brains in jars to connect to the anime VR
>tfw Heaven will literally be invented
>tfw you will not live to see it
>>38962239
I would love to live in some VR world but that's mostly because ofmy unobtainable fetish
>>38963331
Could happen in like 70 years. Best bet is to try to live that long.
>>38962239
What simulations would you want? I want a /comfy/ anime high school simulation.
>>38962239
>(((consciousness)))
Good goy

That's because we're already in one anon
>>38964567
This VR sucks though
>>38964272
The fuck is your feetish?
>>38964577
Google the Matrioshka brain if you're actually interested in the topic, in my opinion if it is possible to upload consciousness it is quite likely we're in a simulation right now. We are in an interesting part of history and we might of temporarily erased our memories for better immersion.
>>38964591
I would have though the pic made it obvious.

Virgin is my body and tendie sauce is my blood
>>38962239
is this fucking confirmed
>>38965046
We can only hope for now. If it will happen in our lifetime, living will have a point until then.
>>38965148
I just hate living in this worlds so much
Escapism has fucked my standards for everything
>>38963021
I don't think you understand at all.
dumbass
>>38965290
Do what I do and go maximum escapist, believe you're in a generation simulator. Imagine this, your day has come and you've died. You the have a surge of information and remember a million lifetimes and fantasies, and this think that last one was kinda shit. You are in a world where everything is fake but you have everything you could ever want. A gigantic computer surrounding a star, sucking all of its energy, feeding all of your races consciousness energy inside the machine.
>>38963079
Never contend with a Wojak who has nothing to lose.
>>38965446
I genuinely believe this and find great confidence and comfort from this.

1. make tulpa
2. switch control of body
3. live in lala imagination land
>>38965446
>>38965473
Guys, This is just too much. You have that kind of idealogy because this was influenced from Fantasy movies. Escapism is bad. And don't get me wrong I'm not a chad and as Beta as you guys are but you can always improve yourself/ Don't jsut say '''uuuuh I fucked this life let's just wait for the next me to do better'' Work out, sleep and spend time with people.
You're in it, you just forget you were in the game.
>inb4 but this reality is shit
It's much better than the actual reality going on
>>38965567
I don't use this as an excuse to be a lazy NEET, I just use this to suppress existentialism
>>38965567
There is no reason for me to spend time with other people. Even if its sometimes really boring, I love being alone. And if I could live in a VR world where im basically the god would make things 100 times better.
>>38965588
>It's much better than the actual reality
What's going on in the real reality that could make our reality seem like paradise?
>>38962521
you could transfer consciousness slowly a la ship of theseus
>>38965944
Yea that doesn't work, just make it so there's a clone of you in the future
>>38965969
all your atoms in your brain got replaced though, so by that logic your 5 yo self is not you
>>38962521
>the "it's just a copy" argument
There's no continuity of self to begin with. Each moment of thought is only treated as though it were part of a continuous self because of similarity in memory content and proximity of space and time. The VR version would be as legitimately "you" as any other moment of "you" your brain generates.
>>38965994
Now I'm getting existential again. This is like the last Tuesday theory
>>38966135
DESU I hated my 5yo self so I guess that's cool
Damm that's unoriginal apparently
>>38966045

>>38965808
This is gonna sound crazy, but bear with me:
>There is a major epidemic that is killing the population without any possible cure or antibiotic to fight it
>Martial law in most first world countries is declared (I honestly don't know what the other countries are facing, but it's likely x10 worse)
>Hackers are trying to get living people out of the game for reasons I'll elaborate on, however they are met with extreme punishment
>So much weird shit going on in the normal reality, that it makes ours look normal
The problem with the game is that whenever a person within it dies from the disease, they instantly get replicated by the neural network within it. This would be fine, but the network doesn't explicitly know how to process qualia, which is why things have been getting more surreal lately (The way dreams are organized by the brain is a similar system to how the neural network processes qualia).
Also, if you die in this "game", you get replicated by the network, and your memories of the outside world are erased (this is a crucial error of the system, and it has not been fixed as of yet). This is the main reason why the hackers are trying to get people out, so they won't become a copy. The reason why they are met with punishment is because most governments have accepted the possible extinction, and are willing to replicate our minds for self-preservation.
>>38966045
If there is no continuity of self then why do I always seem to be perceiving the world through the same body?
>>38966181
You should be friends with the 'believes he's in a giant space computer' guy
>>38966262
I can't say I've met a person like that. Do you want to know more?
>>38965521
here's a higher-def version of that macro, robro
>>38966415
Yea sure, it's pretty compelling. Also I was talking about >>38965446
You would still be dead. The consciousness you uploaded would just be emulated by a program.
>>38966674
The board discussed this and came to a conclusion of you were to read it
>>38966224
>If there is no continuity of self then why do I always seem to be perceiving the world through the same body?
Because:
>>38966045
>Each moment of thought is only treated as though it were part of a continuous self because of similarity in memory content and proximity of space and time.
"You" wouldn't magically teleport into the VR version of "you," but "you" never did that from moment to moment to begin with. The brain just generates thoughts from moment to moment and those thoughts all tend to identify with one another because they're near to each other in space and time and share in a lot of the same memory content. None of these features of thought are incapable of being reproduced in some artificial VR mind. The new possibility of there being two of these person versions in existence at the same time confuses people's intuitions, but really there's nothing about the concept of mentality that precludes multiple version existing at the same time. It's just that in ordinary / natural living the versions are generated in sequence over time so that's what we're used to. The biological person and the VR person wouldn't have access to each other's memories / thoughts after the VR person is generated, but the person from ten minutes ago would't have access to the person from 5 minutes ago's memories either. Artificial versioning doesn't make the resulting version any more or less legitimate than any other natural / sequential version generated over time.
>>38966490
Alright, thanks for listening. I will go over miscellaneous info about the situation with the outside world.
Nobody exactly knows what happens to a living person after leaving the network. In fact, there's a large amount of confusion of what exactly the brain goes through when it is subjected to the network processing and projecting it's own chemicals and thoughts. I have heavy convictions that, after leaving, you will begin to contract many disorders, or possibly insanity.
The "weird shit" I mentioned in the last post is very related to this (there's a large amount of people in this game, but there is also a lot that left it). The society still has a state apparatus to fight against anyone who tries to get people out, however that is their only purpose as of late. Water and food is only supplied with rations to the workers in the state (the clean water that was left and the sanitary food that was around was instantly hoarded by major first world countries, and the United States contains the most rations) and the hackers usually steal from the state rations. A majority of the fighting is going on in the United States.

Reminder that every day you lose and gain new brain cells.
Reminder that every ten years nearly your entire body has been replicated.
Reminder that you're already dead.
>>38963079
This holy shit. I fucking concur. It's not evolution it's degradation.

The amount of effort you have to put in makes it not much of a reward anons. With such mental discipline, you could just have made some money and did drugs much much easier, and the reward would be much much greater.
>>38968787
i disagree. i have not put in a lot of effort, but i have seen great success. admittedly i naturally had many lucid dreams before putting in any effort, but so has most everybody else, even if they don't remember it.
don't you think it would be worth it if you could go to sleep and find yourself flying around, fucking whoever you want and beating up people you don't like? and that's barely even scratching the surface
>>38968924
>try to move in lucid drea
