Yep, that's me. I started out college fine, had a couple people I talked to on a daily basis the first semester but everything fell apart when I got really bad depression starting second semester of my first year. Now I'm almost a senior and the only friend I made just moved to Japan to be a teaching assistant.

I had like one actual conversation with someone the entire time I was in college before I dropped out. Considering going back or enlisting.

Riding high at a solid 3 acquaintances and my one friend who I've known since forever.

WHAT THE FUCK. At least in high school you're stuck with the same cohort so you can slowly build a rapport. In college the shit is shuffled every 4-5 months so if you're not super gregarious your hard social work is lost. At least if I fuck up socially it doesn't haunt me for years like in high school...

I am dreading going back. At least I was optimistic last year and thought that college could finally be what turns my life around. This year I already know how it's going to play out. The loneliness of having no friends and being confined to a tiny dorm room for a whole year fucking gets to you.

When I went to college I never made any friends. Also I had to do group projects by myself because nobody wanted to partner with me.

I just got back to college and fuck this in every class there are already small groups of friends while I know no one. It makes me feel so lonely and worthless.

Some old classmates who I thought were my friends barely pay attention to me.
