are you gonna remove the /soc/ threads? Why have you been so afk lately? What's the deal?
>>38939782
I don't know why they have been so slow with removal of /soc/ shit recently
even for discord threads it takes them a few hours
>>38930279
>>38937116
Here they are mods what's the hold up
>>38939782
Ever heard of using filters?
>>38940000
There is no reason to use filters when a thread breaks the rules quite explicitly. Those threads are /soc/ threads and should be removed
what the fuck is the deal mods
>>38940156
do jannies not have the ability to remove shit?
the chances of you getting a mod reply are non existant. they have never said anything on /r9k/, outside of moving threads and the stickies.
>>38940499
>the chances of you getting a mod reply are non existant. they have never said anything on /r9k/, outside of moving threads and the stickies.
That's not true, swaglord has posted here before
In addition, I simply want them to remove the soc threads, I don't expect a reply
>>38939782
i want to fuck tewi
>>38940758
>That's not true, swaglord has posted here before
yes, maybe in 2013, but there hasn't been a single mod post since the robot was readded 2 years ago, other than "this thread was moved..." or them reading something off of the global rules.
mods don't care anymore, stop pretending they do
>>38941083
Nah man, swaglord posted here as recently as a few months back
and mods WILL remove the soc threads
I believe in them
>>38941123
>swaglord posted here as recently as a few months back
show me where http://desuarchive.org/r9k/search/capcode/mod/page/1/
mods should remove the threads but they probably wont. they have no reason to. remember, they do it for free
>>38939782
Mod can't be on /r9k/ 24/7 Understaffed and 1000's of posts to go through everyday. They have lives outside of /r9k/ and there are going to be plenty of times where a mod isn't going to be on /r9k/ when rule breaking posts are happening because timezone reasons.
>>38941218
>>38930279 has been up for 16 hours. there's no excuse. mods just don't care
>>38941175
you sure about that senpai?
mods *might* be paid
At least head mods might be, I think at least a few might have more administrative roles right?
>>38941218
yes, that is why they have jannies
that is why they coordinate jannies to be on the site at certain times
it's not rocket science man
do you honestly believe they are so incompetentactually they kinda are huh
>>38941266
Mods aren't scanning every thread and post every hour. Help them out by reporting something.
>>38941616
Why do you feel the need to defend the mods so much? What have they ever done for you?
>>38941600
>mods *might* be paid
If they were I imagine they would do their job a bit better. I can't imagine someone like Hiro spending money on people who can't even follow simple rules
>>38941616
anon while I usually am partial to the mods in this case they clearly fucked up
I mean, a very blatant /soc/ thread has been up for almost an entire day.
And while I agree with mods might wanting to be a little bit more laissez faire in terms of moderation they haven't even really been removing shit they ALWAYS remove over the last few days
>>38941218
>They have lives outside of /r9k/
>>38939895
why mods removed discord thread but not these discord + location threads?
>>38940791
>i want to fuck tewi
you can't do this
>>38939782
>are you gonna remove the /soc/ threads? Why have you been so afk lately? What's the deal?
mods
answer this
>>38939782
why aren't mods gonna delete the /soc/ threads

Are you Barneyfag? Do you think he is a smart person who only executes the most cunning of plans?
Do you bump threads that you want to die nonstop?
Use filters, you stupid, whiny newfag. Here's a starter kit of images:

>newfag
Neck yourself you underage tard.
That isn't even what the filters are for.
>>38946388
I believe that you are the underage one, and you are probably thinking about following your own advice.
It's rude of me to offer advice, but consider this: /soc/ is actually an offshoot board of /r9k/. You probably haven't been around long enough to remember, but /r9k/ used to be the hub of intelligent ladies and gentlemen who wanted to either meet or stay alone, but whether you wanted to do one or the other, you respected the people that wanted to do the other thing as long as you could hold a civil conversation for more than a couple of posts. Some threads would stay alive for weeks at a time, instead of cancerous generals being a thing.
Do you really want people to think that you're all about suicide? Do you want people to think that this forum is about that? You're so stupid. Absolutely stupid. I hope that someone that you love and takes care of you dies so that you are forced to grow up.
Food for thought: There are far more janitors then there are mods, and mods can't capcode without authorization via the even-less senior moderators.
t. reads /qa/ and was around for the A-san drama
>>38946674
>t. reads /qa/ and was around for the A-san drama
explain pls
>>38946794
So there exists this moderator called A-San who is an oldfag moderator. He was fired long long long ago for using the reports system inappropriately. He was brought back after a long time as a moderator again...
Then comes the "Right Wing Safety Squad" threads. These threads were banned (and still are banned) on /pol/ because they were considered to be raid threads. People naturally started getting mad and flooded /qa/ with bitching threads (that have never gotten responded to). A-San at the time decided he wanted to use the warning system to explain to a user why the ban was in place. I suppose in doing so he bypassed the "trickle-down" permission system that exists for making capcoded posts (You must request permission from a senior moderator in a special IRC channel to make a post as a moderator on 4chan)
This resulted in A-San being fired because he violated a principle of moderation: You should always use the template system unless you're given permission not to. Moderation on this website is extremely strict. Moderators communicating with users are also extremely strict. I'm not entirely sure as to why, as I'm not a member of staff myself, but I imagine it's to prevent drama.
Basically, A-San was fired for user-communication. User-communication is not a thing that is commonly done in 4chan moderation. And when user-communication was actually performed by A-San, a 4chan "manager" had to make a sticky on /qa/ explaining why the user in question was "warned" (Told why something is done)
I trust the moderators and I'm sure they have a reason for doing the things that they do, but their policies sometimes confuse me.
>>38946968
Correction: Not the "reports system" but the "ban/warning" system.
>>38946968
>a 4chan "manager" had to make a sticky on /qa/ explaining why the user in question was "warned" (Told why something is done)
can you link to this post?
>>38947148
I'll post screenshots instead. You can find it on desu easily though.
Warning in question
>>38946674
Well this is kind of a moot point because even a janitor can remove a thread
>>38941175
swaglord doesn't post with mod capcodes anon
he just posts funny little things that make clear he is a mod
>>38947389
I thought the intention of this thread was to ask the moderators a question directly. They almost never respond to queries on the boards, or anywhere really.
>>38940016
There's never been blatant /soc/ threads on r9k hardly ever, even before that recent sticky, mister Rules.
They just moved a nice non soc thread to soc, so it can die (as you should as well).
>>38947261
So A-san was a cuck, and got fired for trying to spread his cuck views? I'm not as disappointed in that debacle anymore, though this is the first I've heard of significant official word on it, since /qa/ is such a massive cesspit.
>>38942261
>I mean, a very blatant /soc/ thread has been up for almost an entire day
Did you report it?
Have any of you reported these /soc/ threads?
If you've reported them and the mods didn't reply, bitch on.
If you couldn't fucking be arsed to report them, fuck off.
>>38947555
There's no soc threads here.
There never was.
Just let the reeetards be.
>>38947469
>They just moved a nice non soc thread to soc, so it can die (as you should as well).
HOW FUCKING DENSE CAN YOU BE
THERE ARE LITERAL GENERALS ON /SOC/ WITH THAT EXACT TOPIC
LITERALLY
THE
SAME
THREADS
listen, if you like ideal gf threads, you can easily find them there. They don't belong here.
>>38947555
Yes of course.
>>38947540
I fail to see how he was a "cuck" by explaining why something is banned objectively. I don't see how he's trying to spread anything either.
"Fire Safety threads are an attempt to misuse public resources as a blunt instrument against marginalized communities; it is not about preventing fire code violations, it is about neo-nazis using the bureaucracy of state institutions to harass the LGBT community"
Which is exactly what was going on in those threads.
>>38947669
wait what exactly were these fire safety threads about?
>>38947669
>marginalized communities
>neo-nazis
>LGBT community
Buzzwords used by cucks and only cucks. Not even real lefties use "marginalized communities" man. He got super wordy and shit instead of just saying "Fire Safety threads are an attempt to raid places and people /pol/ doesn't like with technicalities" or something like that. Shorter, more straightforward, less soft language. Doesn't inject his point of view into it.
>>38947644
>you can find ideal gf threads there
You cannot find ideal gf threads from a robot perspective there. You'll see nothing but a shit ton of retarded normies trying to contact each other.
That thread there was hardly anyone trying to contact anyone, and is posting contact info. How could they, there's no females here.
Baka. There are no r9k threads on /soc/
Stop being autistic and taking the rules that seriously.
>>38947727
