Then I'd definitely go with Romania, we're in the EU so it's going to be easy as fuck to get in. As far as safety goes, you don't have to worry about anything as long as you stay away from gypo infested areas (you have no reason to go there anyway, they're pretty isolated)

Transylvania is basically Central Europe and the prices are not far from the rest of the country. See Cluj, Sibiu, Timisoara, Brasov.

Foreigners seem to love Bucharest but I've been living here for uni and I think it's a shithole.
