The point I'm making is the contact I've had with abos has been in two broad categories:

1) being part of the "non-abo" demographic who just had to grin and bear / pretend we don't see them during school. Like, it's fucking weird how when one of them goes off (fighting, puking, screaming, just wasted, whatever) we all used to look at the ground or make eye contact with each other and make the "them again, I know but they're aboriginal, so.." face.

2) Aggressive harassment for money on the streets. Been all over Canada and Winnipeg and Ottawa are the worst for those. Ottawa downtown maybe the worst for aggressive panhandlers. They'll follow you swearing at you and shit, even grab you sometimes.

The point is, there is an aspect of blameworthiness here. I don't know anyone who dislikes aboriginals for "skin colour" or "weird religion". I know plenty who don't like them because they used to get assaulted by them in school, or they're thieves who stole shit from them, etc.
