I also arbitrarily exert authority over random parts of their life; like their room layout, where they go out to eat, and daily schedule. All to make them feel a loss of control and independence. When they confront me on any of this, I'll remind them how I'm fulfilling all my cultural obligations and how most people their age would be lucky to have a son like this taking care of them in their twilight years.

If there's tiles on the floor, I sometimes will jump to keep in step and not step on any cracks.

Similarly, if I feel like I've been walking in a certain rhythm too long I'll do a little skip-step to switch up which foot is dominant.

I see the world as having an innate flow, and try to rack up an unbroken stream of movement whenever I can. As you can imagine, Baby Driver was like porn for me because of this.
