What are your thoughts about religion fellow robots?
I don't think it's something necessary but seeing lots of people finding a meaning for their lives through it makes me think it isn't something bad.

Cool watercolor, is it yours?

I think it can be a positive thing for people, but only if they come to religion on their own. Shoving faith down someone's throat never leads to good results for anyone.
Most global religion (Catholicism, Islam, possibly Hinduism) is in desperate need of moral reform and there's no truth to the supernatural elements of their scripture, but human beings need beliefs. It's in our nature. Religion was born to satisfy a fundamental emotional need and in the right circumstances it can do so with very few downsides. Which in the grand scheme of things doesn't happen often, but oh well

unfortunately no, it's from pixiv's user 412469
I'm too afraid to commit to any religion, too awkward to attend any gatherings, and too weak/selfish to refrain from doing bad things constantly.

Alright I'll break my belief system down.
>"higher power" exists; something created the universe, and what we call "god" is universal and natural forces at work
>"god" is completely indifferent to human affairs, but not necessarily conscioussness
>aliens exist and previously interacted with and influenced humans
>a mixture of humans and aliens are represented in all the various pagan religions around the world
>monitheism was a ploy by aliens to cover their tracks
So in essence, I am a pantheist, with deist tendencies

I honestly don't see the point in trying to understand this crazy universe but hey whatever floats people's boats I guess.
Why are fictional religions so much better than real life religions?Origimon
