Truck driving
You barely talk to anyone, you sit by yourself in the truck, you get to a delivery location and take a nap until they give you a dock number and take another nap or read manga until they're done unloading your truck, then you drive to another one or you're done for the day
>>

Who the fuck came up with this shit? You never work alone, you always work in a team, which has frequent meetings.

No you don't. You drive your dick.

It's a peterbilt with broken air conditioning

I did jerk off while waiting for my dock last week though

Police Highway patrolman.

>Work alone
>Drive around all day
>Can pull over and take naps, watch anime, read or play games on phone
>Pull normies over and take their drugs then fine them
>Shoot people when they become uncooperative.

any kind of night shift is generally good

Maybe not a team of robots, but at least a team of non-normies.
>>
>>38899244
It's not that hard, a lot of places are willing to train you to do it, like farms that don't want to pay for a real driver

Or you just get a job driving a straight truck and then they can teach you to drive the big truck later
>>
>>38899282
>IT
no. you need to be able to interact with people. trust me.
>>
>>38899216
You have to have a partner tho right. Those hours of sitting side by side by side with some assigned dude who insists on getting to know his partner better is way too much pressure
>>
>>38899282
>Maybe not a team of robots, but at least a team of non-normies.
Hate to break it to you, but most programmers ARE normies with wifes/husbands and actual lives outside of the computer screen.
>>
>>38898959

not for the last decade. everyone at my work is a brogrammer
>>

I work fast food night shift. There aren't too many customers, so it's pretty relaxed. Also most of the other night shift people don't give a shit and cut loads of corners, so you can too.

Fuck those fags that only occasionally work nights, though. I hate having to change my entire closing pattern when they're here to keep up with standards.
>>
>>38899432
No partners in the highway patrol in most states. Too little funding, too big of an area to cover

manual labor where you don't have to talk to anyone
>>
>>38899243
>night shift

I tried to apply for them only to find out most places don't have a "Night Shift" its "Third Shift" Which starts in the afternoon and ends late. The ones that did have a "Night Shift" wont hire you into it. You have to be promoted into it.
>>

You can still get night shift work. It is rarer though. Companies have cut down on night shift and switched to late shift like you said because they don't have to pay night shift premium that way.
>>
>>38899598
But you do have to talk to people in manual labor. There aren't many manual labor jobs where you're actually working alone.

I work at a barn the only people I talk to is the boss and his son and that's usually just a question I have or if I need to tell them something.

data entry. if you're lucky you can find a gig where you don't have to interact with people too much. and most robots are better than average at typing which is desirable in the field. I personally have a job which is 100% the perfect robot job. I get paid salary for 20 hours a week but it only takes me like 2/3 hours a week to do the job because I type 100 wpm. I also get to work from home. haven't been into the office in over two years when I was hired and met the CEO. they don't even invite me to the christmas party lmao because they know I don't give a shit. feels good man

I have the perfect r9k job. I drive around to random locations spit out by a computer and test cellular network reception. Aside from picking up a new work truck and dropping off my receipts once a month I never have to talk to anyone I work with, and it's a state job with full benefits and pension. I'm on the road six days a week with all expenses paid.

Warehouse jobs are pretty god tier robot jobs. I just show up, pack shit, and leave when my shift is over. There really is no social interaction involved at all at my job, and for 12/hour it's not a bad job.

Does dish washing require much social interaction? I've heard it's a shit tier job due to physical work. Is it shit in other ways too like they abuse you for being bottom rung slave or something.

Try the nearest Lowe's. They have a night shift position that starts at 10pm (closing) and ends at 6am (opening). And you only work Monday through Thursday. Lots of these stores cut back on costs by not scheduling the overnight team for the weekend.

Back to job discussion.

Any decent IT jobs that don't require a college degree? I really have no desire to go back. I don't have the motivation or the money to continue that kind of education, and I'm already the go-to tech guy at my current job and in my family.

personally I'd like to have a night job where I can be alone. I could totally be a security guard but I need a security course to get my license which is like $600. I could get it for free in the army but I have aspergers so I can't

I like being up at night and alone so I could totally make a living from it but there just isn't any jobs like that required here
walking around a huge warehouse alone in the dark seems strangely comfy
>>

anime tester
>>
>>38899216
I used to know a cop that never cracked down on illegal behavior unless ordered to. Just sat in his car collecting pay checks
>>
>>38901370
You guys keep forgetting there's a chance shit might go down at these jobs. Can you all handle that?
Most robots have anxiety I can't picture you guys standing up to someone with a weapon. Are there any jobs you don't have to get interviewed for?
>>
>>38902073
This. Although night shifts are comfy and whatnot robberies are more likely to happen.
>>
What about careers? I want to get a job, but my parents think it's worthless/a waste of time to do a 'normal' day job, like cashier or whatever. I kinda don't blame them, they keep talking about how I should 'better my own boss' because working for others sucks (I could imagine)
Problem is, I have no idea what I'm doing with my life, and what I want to do for a living.
As long as it pays decently, has little social interaction, is 'comfy', and not sitting I front of a computer all day, I'd be happy. And short commute.
>>
>>38898959

Night shift security.

In fact the only person I've ever met who I know came here was a night shift security guard.
>>
>>38898959

vidya tester/reviewer
>>
>>38902073
This is why a license is required, you learn how to handle these things
I'd shoot a nigger if I have too, if I can't then I'll just surrender. Getting shot over a job isn't worth it anyway
>>
>>38902178
*Be (instead of better)
And sorry if I sound picky/fussy-- I truly do actually wanna work, but I'm hesitant about starting something unknown and having a bad first time, thus making weary about the future.
>>
>>38899216
Unfortunately in my area, officers are always being watched, harassed and need to have a mini camera on them whenever they are out on patrol. Not very comfy knowung that someone is watching you 24/7 and a nigger will bully you, post a video of you online and make you seem beta at a moments notice
>>
>>38899201
i knew a trucker with a peterbilt tattoo, what the fuck? who would tattoo that to their body?
>>
>>38902073
Casino security? One that I go to hires old guys with limps and 5ft 100lb girls. No way these people are fighting off criminals. Maybe it depends on location though. This isn't a high crime area. Only old people go there. Social interaction required but I only ever see them wandering the casino floor looking bored out of their minds.
>>
>>38902167
literally every company's policy is to just hand over whatever the person wants, wait for them to leave, then report it
what's hard about that
>>
>>38902276

Tyrone doesn't have a policy and he might just chimp out or get scared and shoot you. It happens every day.

Bar/Club/Lounge bouncer

Love it. You get to beat up drunk normies and Chads, fuck drunk sluts inside stalls and get free drinks. It's also VERY common to see some rich kid leave there wallet behind. I take some cash as a tip but leave the credit cards of course.

I work as a security guard. For some reason, whenever something goes wrong, I'm never there. Of course I do get some shit for it, and I even spoke with a detective because of a robbery.
>>
>>38902380
Author, most arts really. With the internet you cut out the middle man.
>>
>>38898959
The most robot tier job I've ever had was bar back then bartender at a club. Bar backing was really easy just carry stuff from the back to the bar and make sure nobody runs out of stuff. It's loud AF so no pressure to really talk to anyone. You work really late so no pressure to go out after with co-workers. After doing this for a few months they asked me to fill at bar when someone flaked on a shift and then started working me into the schedule from there. It's too loud for anyone to talk they just shout their order at you (which is usually w.e alcohol in coke or juice) and tip you a few bucks a drink which really adds up when you're busy. You're also busy enough that the time goes by really quick.
>>
>>38902532

>>
>>38902265
Security guards don't just go around kicking people out, at the local casino I go to there's a bunch of them that just stand in front of the outlet entryway or yell at people who try to bring their kids through the 18+ gambling areas
>>
>>38900028
Would working part-time at a warehouse be a good job for a college student or do they have odd hours to commit to?
>>
>>38898959
>>38902073
>I'd shoot a nigger if I have too,[sic]
Yeah I don't tink so Tim. They don't give you guns, you aren't cops.
>if I can't then I'll just surrender. Getting shot over a job isn't worth it anyway
That's more like it. If regular trained cops can't handle this shit what are the chances and anxious neet can?
>>
>>38898959

I work in a door shop, where we make interior doors for new home builders to use

It's just me and an oldbro working back there, and no one really bothers us except to occasionally check on orders or ask questions about doors for customers. We feed doors through the machine and hang them in their frames and stuff and it's not stressful at all

We just jam to classic rock and make doors man
>>
>>38902636
Mine is in small town and rural area. Lots of retirees. It's a casino only. No kids hang around or get dragged there. They won't even get past the front doors.
>>
>>38899072
Night shift security guard doesnt pay great, probably the least of the three, but is the easiest fuckin job ever at plants and warehouses

>>38898959
I am going to put that working night shift in a quality control lab is really comfy. It is perfect for failed normie stememers
