Is sad / eerie comfy okay? I used to get a huge rush of deep fear, a feeling of happiness and wonder listening to this music and watching city lights on the horizon as I drove by. Then I found a really nice apocalyptic garry's mod map and I found that wandering around in it with Bvdub music playing was incredibly comfy. There are definitely certain comfy things out here - monsoons, sunsets, nightdrives but I guess since I've lived here for about 24 years I'd like to experience other types of comfy. When I was a boy my parents sent me to a Montessori school that didn't assign homework, didn't have in-class busywork like worksheets or tests, and instead mostly focused on letting kids play educational games and read all day, at their discretion. I was there from preschool through 8th grade.
The school had a nice grounds which the students had to volunteer each week for chore/upkeep. Me and my friend always volunteered to feed the goats, it was easy and fun, a good excuse to go outside and there was little supervision. If you spent an hour outside, no one usually cared. A bunch of us kids held little competitions like rocket building or toothpick bridge making.
The grounds were filled with huge trees and even berry bushes that you could wander around and eat from.

That was the best time of my life, I think.

A rare few probably gets to see the sort of comfy hinted by that image, Many truckers I've met who are out on the road so much they need to spend the nights in their cabins keep it pretty tidy and homely though, always put on some overall and swap footwear whenever they step out of the truck etc. Altho they say it gets a bit dull, some laptop with netflix in the evenings.

One guy I know transported cattle to slaughterhouses in some old, poorly maintained piece of shit truck, having to fix stuff all the time, some times getting injured when loading cattle, generally dirty, out on small roads in the winters, getting stuck or sliding down some ditch, getting behind schedule having to wait for some towtruck etc.

Just want to become independent, have my own property and live a life of fulfillment. One step at a time I'm getting there.
I can't really say there's anything specific but this is a mental image that comes to mind: I would love to walk into my nicely decorated big home with a room full of music equipment where I record my music and also a mixer with CD players and a vinyl turntable because I love to DJ as well. Not that interested in doing it for money / doing shows because I get just as much reward doing it for myself, on my own.

Love walks like this, I often go on them in my small town and I never bring my phone or headphones or anything. I always just walk for about two hours in random directions. It gets old quickly since it is a pretty small place but at the end of the day it's better than being inside all day.
