Isn't it amazing how when your around 13-15 and your going through your emo/goth/edgy phase that you somehow convince yourself "its not just a phase for me this is who i am really". Like your aware that "its just a phase" is a thing and you somehow still convince yourself.
Obviously i got over that phase several years ago, but i was just thinkin about it today for some reason.
I went through it from age 14-17. The only thing that's changed since then is that I dress and act more normal now. The ideals are still there
Rule of thumb, if you have to consistently go out of your way with something, it's a phase.

Nice dubs, and yea i have the same ideals too, i just don't bother showing it in my clothing or anything, and i try to act as normal as i can
My hair is dyed black but otherwise I dress fairly normally, if not a bit plain. Am I still a massive fag.
Never was emo or goth, i had my edgy Phase were i wore graphic band shirts but the bands werent even that faggy
>tfw you never got over your emo/goth/edgelord phase

likewise, anon. it does feel weird still being like this as an adult but then again i'm also a shut-in so it's not like it really matters.

I never wore anything goth but I wanted to be one when I was younger and my online characters always have gothic aesthetic almost.
I listened to cradle of filth when I was like 15, was a die-hard fan. then discovered skrillex and deadmau5 and went balls deep in electronic music exploration. despite it all, I still like cradle of filth and what their music and artworks evoke. it's like it never faded. It's the only band that gets it I feel. I always thought shit like dimmu borgir was fag shit even though it's said to be similar.
Thanks cradle for introducing me to the beauty of the macabre I guess.
