Can someone explain the reddit spacing meme to me?

Reddit likes to think every sentence is a paragraph that deserves its own individual consideration from the entire post.
Like this.
It's kinda like doing this.
Then this.
And finally this.
And spacing everything out so it reads easier, instead of, ya know, using greentext or just sloppily shitposting.
It's a meme that fucking sucks though, because sometimes I don't like writing one giant wall of text so I add some extra space in between topics and get called out on it. And I've never even visitted Reddit.

It's redditors who think they're seeing something familiar that they've seen on reddit, and so they call that poster out for being a redditor in an attempt to fit in. It's as stupid as it sounds.
literally newfag memes

I was exposed to a mild teratogen as a kid, that fucked up my small motor skills. For a while I couldn't tie my shoes, draw, or do normal kid stuff.
So I put an emphasis on doing stuff with my hands. Guess that led to my love of building things.
Suppose It also lead to me pressing enter every time a thought is finished. I do think by pressing the keyboard though.

No you retard, on reddit you need to double space your shit. When tourists come here and do it by habit, you are letting the world know you are a redditfag

>on reddit you need to double space your shit.
Like I said, it takes a redditor to know that sort of stuff. Good job outing yourself as a newfag and a redditard.
Reddit's text formatting engine only renders a new paragraph when there are two linebreaks between blocks of text. So they get into this habit and expect every other site to accomodate this, when in fact it's just redditors being idiots as usual.
I am a phone poster. Raddit spaces make it easier for me to write out and reread my posts.
