Years of practice and self control. My crazy father used to beat the shit out of me for smallest things. Learnt quickly how to act, so I won't get beaten, while quietly fantasizing about stabbing his neck with a screwdriver.
I snapped only once in high school. Threw a fucker who was bullying me over a desk, broke the desk and his forearm. Amusingly enough the principal called cops on me, not him. So I kept my cool ever since then. I wonder how will it look when I snap next time.

I'm not omnicidal, I took out my issues on animals at a young age.

I still harbor homicidal rage to a large degree but intense fear of prosecution keeps me from harming so much as a fly.

I've seriously hurt/injured/scarred people despite that, despite myself, but actively acting on those homicidal urges is still out of the question.
