It's biological nostalgia and the increased rewards your brain gives when you're new to the game. We can NEVER get that back even if they made the game identical to how it was back then

They made 2007scape without the GE at first, without GWD etc. And guess what - despite the fact that I had that same nostalgia, it was just annoying living without GE. The lack of the GE didn't make it funner, it was YOU. And you've changed. And you can never go back...

The only people left playing were addicts who couldn't stop and had nothing better in life. They're still playing it now at level cap in every skill, but they're not having fun anymore. They haven't been for years.

I got max cape in RS3 and all the partyhats and shit but luckily managed to escape after that. But then got addicted to 2007scape so just as bad. Fuck my life. If I had just read for even 1/10 of the time I played RS I would have gained so much more than the nothingness that RS provides.
