Went to Evo this year because my friend had an extra pass. The rumors were true, the areas with all the smash players reeked of ass. Why do Smash players have such poor hygiene?

Truthfully, I'm not a huge fighting game enthusiast, that's more of my friend's thing, so for example I watched a bunch of Injustice matches but had no clue who anyone was. For Street Fighter I recognized a few of the players. Watched Poongko, Filipino Champ, Yipes, Sako, Daigo, and Justin Wong. Watched a little bit of Marvel. And of course watched a little bit of Smash but the only players I recognize are the guy that plays Jigglypuff and the Swedish guy.

I love m2k so much that when I was 3ft away from him at dreamhack austin I felt so happy for some reason it was weird. He's my favorite god.
At the same tournament leffen brushed past me and felt me and my friends (that drove me there) were practically nutting because they love him.

Can someone explain to me why melee is still so popular? I see it all the time and it perplexes me. You would think people would have moved on to the more recent games. I mean, it still has a tournament scene after all these years. Thats impressive. What about brawl and wii U smash? Were those really bad or something?

Smash Bros is just a party game for kids, every sequel is better than the game before, and Ridley should never be playable.

Its just so much more complex than the other games in the series. Theres so many little nuances in the gameplay that people are still discovering new tech to this day, mostly for more obscure characters but still. No one really feels like were anywhere close to the skill ceiling of melee yet, if there is one
