Beetus made me afraid to live. It's under control (my a1c recently was 5.8), but christ I spend so much time worrying about it and checking my blood sugar. I haven't ever been diagnosed with one but I've gotten informal diagnoses from friends (incl. doctors) for various chronic, extremely fast-disappearing diseases like pneumonia.

People in my family have died from Crohn's disease too. I once got so weak I couldn't take a shit and my impacted shit in my colon dislodged my hip. That was pretty rough.
