Why fear something that will happen sooner or later?

Realized after I was diagnosed at 7 that death was inevitable.

The best part about death is that you're basically permanently unconscious. No emotions to pull your strings, nothing to worry about, no mind to contemplate it, no passage of time, etc.
I hope to live a long and happy life, but when I stare at the face of death, I'll embrace it.

Take a moment to consider if you never learned that death existed, it would make right now seem a lot different as a timeline. People who fear death the most I find are really into the narrative of living life, and forget that there is no deathbed moment or birthday, one has happened and the other doesn't exist. You are alive, right now, because it's always right now, alway has been, and it was thinking that that made me notice this sense of 'me' and 'not me' waver. Time is such a viscus substance that glues ou live together, and it's as much a hallucination as food tasting nice and thinking you are some single entity as separable from the rest as your heart or brain. There's something you'll find close to that in your ego, but that's only the first barrier you have to break through.

Find a definition of your true self, and death becomes meaningless, in fact it becomes the only thing in the universe that you don't really care about.

When I was about ten I first met death up close through the death of my hamster. I called my dad to ask what to do and he told me it was sleeping and to put it in the oven to wake it up.

It's fucking freaky. I saw that Bodies exhibit earlier today, and I thought a lot about my own mortality tonight.

It's not just that you end that shakes me. It's that you deteriorate. Your cells can only divide so many times before death is inevitable. Your skin only stays taut and elastic so long. Those errors in cell division just multiply and multiply. Alzheimer's is always fatal and we don't know what causes it or how to fix it. Every time your heart scars, it stays damaged. The breakdown of the air sacs in your lungs is irreversible damage done. Your hearing goes away, and with it, the ability to hear new music. After a while, it's only downhill and you only get dumber, frailer, dimmer, and weaker until everyone sort of just accepts that it's time for you to go. Then your light goes out and your body rots, and nobody can fix that. Then you're forgotten.

It's universal and inevitable. It's the common fate of everybody who's ever lived. And nobody can really tell you what it's like.

I really wonder if there is an afterlife or consciousness is something beyond death. It seems a lot like that's just my brain recoiling from the idea of death.

It scares me, too. I'd be lying if I said otherwise.

there is no use in fearing sth that is inevitable

here, I'll give you the reason why you all are afraid of dying.

When you die, your body (the thing that synthesized your consciousness) will turn into dirt and worm food. Eventually the sun will expand and consume the earth, and all of the matter will eventually radioactively decay, and the universe will enter heat death.

While in thermal equilibrium, random oscillations and fluctuations will occur. The vast majority of them will be practically nonexistent, but over the countless eons, some of them will be larger. Eventually the particles of which your body was once made of will fluctuate and form a boltzmann brain. It doesn't matter how long it takes for this to happen. It is possible, therefore eventually it will happen.

The time between your death on earth and the moment you become conscious again as a boltzmann brain will be instantaneous. The vast eons between these two points will not be experienced. One moment you will be here on earth. The next moment you will be something vastly different.

The odds of this new conscious experience being a positive one or a negative one are 50/50. Now, these may seem like fair odds, but most people would not make this bet willingly. If I bet you $100, where you have to give me 100 if it is heads, and I have to give you 100 if it is tails, how many people would take this bet? Almost no one. Why? because ppl want to keep their 100. Even though the odds are fair, no one wants to actually roll the dice. that's why you are afraid of death. Because this experience is familiar. You're used to it. You don't really want to risk losing it, even though the odds are fair.
