From what I understand Adderall is pure amphetamine salts. I don't know how it's legal to prescribe to kids, I'm not easily addicted to things, I've been on and off several amphetamines since middle school (im 20 now), I get it practically free with my parents' insurance, but sometimes I go on 2-3 day binges without sleeping and eating almost nothing. It makes you feel hyper focused and euphoric. When I take it orally (regularly) the euphoria kicks in like an hour after I take it and only last like an hour, the focus kicks in around same time and last 4-6 hours, but I can't sleep or eat for a good 12 hours. Snorting it condenses it all into a few hours.
