Currently russia is on the same living quality level as india, but we are not about to surpass china in the population numbers. We are few and we are extremely poor. The government keeps the militaristic regimen mostly, so lots of gov money goes into military.

There are improvements, for example we get online queues in hospitals now and you can make an appointment online as well, but that's about it. Moving some of the gov services to the internet just about sums up everything good that has happened ever since 2000.

We live in a constant financial crisis. 1995-1998, 2008-2009, 2014-2017. When it happens so consistently every 10 years you might as well say that it was one long crisis, because there is no "recovery" from that. You don't just recover from such huge financial issues in 5 years, not even in 10 years.

This country will not collapse. It will just go down lower and lower until it would become literally NK.
