This entire album is about the writer's self-destructive depression after the death of his mother.
It's pretty unique in that it talks about depression realistically.
There's a particular track that speaks to me where he talks about annoyingly finding one kind of okay thing every day at some point, and he keeps living for one more day each time because of it, but not because things will get better, and he never plans to last more than another day after that. He plans to take his life. Shit just keeps getting in the way.
