Damn... see, that's exactly the reason I got it but was never able to feel anything but sleepy when taking it. Never exceeded 1000mg as a dose either though.

You could try upping the dose a bit. I usually don't take less than 2g. Most I've taken is 4.5g but I wouldn't recommend that. It just made me feel dizzy. Also don't take it too often or you will build a tolerance.
