How bad is it? My IS unbearable, but only if there's no noise. I can mask mine with noise like a fan or quite music. And I also don't hear it when I'm outside because of the wind, cars, and all the other noises.

Severse tinnitus sounds like a nightmare though. I remember watching a short documentry of a woman that legally killed herself (assisted suicide), because she couldn't live with tinnitus. She had children too iirc. At least, we don't have visual snow.
