I like girls that are nice.

I seem to be one of the only people I know who likes "fast" music.

I like both.
Power metal is nice, but I also like groove and stoner metal.

Fuck yeah, punk rock is a gift from God.

Fast or slow isn't important as long as it is fun, upbeat, or interesting in some other way. Preferably instrumental only. I cannot stand slow feelsy crying croon musics. Anything sentimental is right out.

You should try listening to Buckethead. Great stuff

I am already a fan of that weirdo and his noises.

I like both equally. It depends on my mood.

For those of us who like fast music, have you heard of speedcore? Here are my best examples.

also some other stuff, not speedcore :

Post some that you like I love this kind of music but I haven't tried listening to it in a long time

I don't particularly have a preference; tone, rhythm and time signatures generally supersede tempo in terms of importance. You can send me the fastest band in the world and I likely wouldn't be particularly impressed given the overly manic instrumentation and lack of composure that would otherwise bring some degree of atmosphere and progression to a track. Now add in some odd time signatures and some coupled with some slightly slower leads on a relatively high-BPM track and I'll fall for it (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dw_IJaHdlts). [Embed] On the other hand slower tracks tend to work best with some degree of tension be it in the vocal melodies or irregular rhythms, tracks that also build on instrumental layers can also be great, for example New Order's Elegia. Then I also appreciate the more ambient, relaxing tracks that offer a means of escapism, dark ambient is especially prized by myself for this reason.

On a side note what is this correlation between those who like anime/ manga and those who like fast music? Not to condescend though I'm assuming that it would happen to be partly the cause of less exposure to other genres and preference to the more poppier elements of music without coming off as "basic", I may be entirely wrong on that note though from the people I've met who seem to enjoy this variety of material they tend to overlook critically acclaimed/ influential artists from Japan such as Cornelius and Fishmans in favour of "fast" music that only really seems to serve the purpose of developing one's outward appearance rather than finding material that one may enjoy for them-self.
