I believe many sellers have double accounts and they are bidding on their own shit to get the price they want. If they end up winning then just relist the item a few days later and look for other victims.

I only use buy it now on eBay or Amazon Marketplace. Auctions are stupid for most things.

You're allowed to set an amount you want to bid up to. So today I bid for a dress shirt that started at $3, then set it to autobid up to $6. I won at $6 because someone else tried to snipe and autobid up to $5.65.
