This is exactly my problem. I can't read due to focus flying out of window instantly. I wanna talk to a doctor and get ADD/ADHD pills. Hopefully they help. I've heard lots of good about those. Ofc there's more to it than just difficulties with reading

They ruined my life

This has been happening to me a lot this whole year. I can barely even get into any anime either, I'll lose focus half way through the first episode and have no idea what's going on. Rewatched the same episodes numerous times already.

How did they ruin your life?

If ADHD is real then the way I understand it is that you cannot manually direct/focus your attention. So you might not be able to read a book even if you want to read it but then you might suddenly hyperfocus on something else, like an article about snakes at 2am or whatever, and it's beyond your control. The doctor said that normally people can simply decide to focus on something, which felt completely alien to me. I couldn't relate or imagine how to do that.
