I personally worked out a bit. In order to achieve pic related (me not too long ago) I did 150 situps 3x a week, lower body 2x a week, pushups/dips 2x a week. I also would run/do the elipitical about 1.5 times a week. Also if I didn't run or use eliptical I'd walk about 1.4 miles.
I have gotten laid by 10 different women now. Didn't lose v-card til 24. I think if I was a 7/10 face instead of like a 5 or 6/10 I'd probably get laid 10x more. I look young as fuck and I can't grow a beard which is probably part of the problem.

Well I was always in good shape to be honest. This was just when I kept at my routine for about 3 months. But even when I am "out of shape" I've always had a 6-pack outline even when I'm "fat". I really don't know how long it could take to get there if you were a fat ass.
I have posted my body on /soc/ before and typically most girls rate as 9/10 on average. My proportions could be slightly better. Also in addition to the proportions, if I was actually big enough to have my muscles show visibly through ANY type of clothing that would be ideal. This would make it known to girls IRL and not just sluts I've met online that I have a good body. So even if you can't get the proportions it is ok, sometimes being a bit bulky can be ok.

Exercise is not only good for the body, but good for the mind. Gives you something to focus on, goals, and also the endorphins and shit released is good for your mental health. But don't do it for girls - do it for yourself. Else you'll lose interest when you haven't gotten laid after 3 months anyway

for the arm days I'd do:
3x15 dips on between counter tops in kitchen
3x15 seated dips
3x15 pushups (varying types of them, feet on chair to make it harder, arms wider, doing them on knuckles, doing them fast etc.)
Sit ups I'd do
25x2 v sits
25x2 crunches
25x2 situps
Then finish with 50x3 each side for obliques (300 oblique exercises total)
lower body, I'd do some squats sometimes, perhaps use eliptical on high resistance, I would do those faggy things where you lay on ground and push with butt/legs to make yourself arch kinda, do some bird-dog holds, and some supermans.

I really only do kettlebell and prison cell workouts in my room so I might not be qualified to say but I think that doing some regular, physically taxing exercise helps a lot.
You get an honest endorphin rush, you do tangible work toward tangible goal.
I'd say it's necessary part of rehabilitation for long time NEETs not only because of physical fitness, but rebuilding certain mental fortitude.
