That's not very professional. I've seen psychs and therapists since middle school. I'm 22 now. My current therapist is actually a cool guy. I have anti social personality disorder, gad, panic disorder, major depression and schzoid being the main one according to all of them.

I automatically disregard the possibility of someone being autistic (my version of autistic) if they want friends and wants to spend time with them. I'm not entirely sure. I thought I had social anxiety because I'd get panic attacks out of the ass when working/going to school.

I did have a psychotic episode but it went away really fast with meds and I thought intense stress+lack of sleep were responsible for the auditory/visual hallucinations.

I'm diagnosed with simple schizophrenia by the way: it's quite a bit different from the other kinds of schizophrenia.

Psychiatry (and psychology in part) is largely a pseudo science. Most mental illnesses are just invented words for people who don't want to grow up and deal with their problems. This is normal in therapy and psychiatry. These people know that no one will tell anon how it is outside of that setting. He's probably right by the way. Get a second opinion if you want but the guy is paid a huge amount of money to make these diagnoses every day and is probably intimately familiar with severe mental illness.

If anything you should be happy that you don't have autism. It means you're only limited by things you can pretty easily change if you want to.

Well, if you discount real problems like schizophrenia which have a valid underlying cause in the brain or mental traumas that require aid in overcoming, I wouldn't be so fast to discount those fields. The problem starts when people want to get a treatment for their emotions, instead of seeking help and support.
Lot of kids that get diagnosed with ADHD these days are simply deficient in parental attention and are as hyper as any kid some 20 years ago (as I recall my own childhood).
The more technology and consumption we have, the less space we have for emotional expression as people.

I'm diagnosed with ASD (aspergers when I originally was diagnosed but now it's a spectrum disorder), and it hasn't helped me at all. I don't see why you should even bother trying to get a diagnosis unless you are really bad, meaning not aspergers but more actual autism where it would be so painfully obvious that there wouldn't need to be much discussion.
